Insights

Here I post insights and ideas that can leave an impression on the way we think.

Instead of spending so much time in finding someone that won’t hurt you. Why not invest it in becoming unhurtable?

Nothing outside of you forces its way on how you feel on the inside. When someone does something, they do something. And then you perceive what they've done through the filter of the story you're telling yourself. When an event happens all that does is reveal to you what's already inside of you. Don't blame the event for showing you to yourself. It's also important to note that it's ok to be sad, it's ok to mad. But you don't have to dwell in any of these emotions. Feel the feeling, accept the feeling, and then let it lift. By doing this you'll note that they'll pass by a lot quicker. Your natural state is Joy, and you can live in this state every day. You never have to experience pain again. The idea of becoming unhurtable does not mean that we’ll never experience negative events again. It means that the negative events will no longer be considered negative. They will be just events that happen. Things don’t happen justly, they just happen. A romantic partnership is one of the best avenues for people to see almost everything that lives inside of them. Especially the triggers. Every trigger is the protector of some type of pain. Every pain is something that is unhealed within us. People tend to experience triggers and pain when they have an expectation that isn’t being met. Dr. Paul Fitzgerald said that people give other people scripts. And when someone doesn’t follow their script, the other person gets triggered or hurt. The crazy thing is that most of the time person A never tells person B that they have a script for them. Person A just expects person B to live up to it. The process of becoming unhurtable is losing all expectations. This of course is much easier said than done but it is possible. Imagine a life where no matter what anyone else say or do to you, you’re emotionally grounded and at complete peace. You’ll become the unmoved mover. I love you immensely and I'll always believe in you. Stay blessed.

Our Future

02/28/2020

Our future doesn't only rely on our youth, it also relies on what we are passing down unto them. It is a collaboration of the efforts of parents and teachers that could really allow a child to get off on the right foot. We should stop telling our kids how "hard" the world is. When in reality just because it was hard for some of us doesn't mean that it has to be hard for them. Their struggles may not always be our struggles. We should stop telling our kids that life isn't fair. When in reality some of us have adopted a perspective and are holding on to a belief that's keeping us stuck. Let's tell the kids what we've experienced so far from an objective point of view. Not with some of our emotional stories attached. Then ask them what they would have done differently. Give the kids the raw data and then let them think for themselves. Even if they don't agree with us on some things, maybe their way of thinking could lead to a new and brighter future for humanity. It truly takes a village to raise a child. Too many of us are forcing kids what to think, instead we should lovingly teach them how to think for themselves. Wisdom is the word that best describes this. It would be wise for us to also acknowledge that we don't only teach our youth, we also can duplicate ourselves unto them. Kids don’t only listen to the words we speak; kids watch our feet. We should be the example of what we want our kids to model. I say this because I was the kid that needed to hear this. I was the kid scared of the world at first because of what some of my elders told me about the world. I just got tired of living in fear. Yes, I understand you’re trying to protect me but some things I must learn from if I am to become the man God intended me to be. I am grateful for the loving lights in my life. From my parents, to teachers, to stepparents, to business mentors, to friends and their families, to channels and everyone else who has helped guide me on my path. You know who you are. Thank you. And I love you all.
Stay blessed.

Being Authentic

02/27/2020

Denial is more than just a river in Egypt. Denial is very real for a lot of people including myself. I've spent a great deal of my life only showing people the side of me that I wanted them to see or I would put up a front that my situation was better than it was. This was probably most popular on social media with a lot of people.
We must accept and own our current circumstance if we wish to mold it. Yes, many of us have great dreams to do grand things in the world. But if we’re in the come-up phase, own it. Don’t only focus on the dream to the point where you’re in complete denial with others with where you are right now. Would you believe me if I told you that there were times when bank tellers would mistake my middle name for overdraft? Would you believe me if I told you that less than three years ago from the publishing of this book, I was sleeping out of my car? I'll do whatever it takes in pursuit of a dream. But I have no reservations in saying where I was. I meet a lot of entrepreneurs that get so caught up in their dream that they feel ashamed to say where they truly are at the moment. That's doing things backwards, what you resist persists. Try being fully authentic with all the people you know you haven't been authentic with, and then watch how you'll be on the fast track to evolution. GET OFF THE PEDESTAL with others. So many of us have this mask on that we must be strong for others. Or a mask that says we’re successful but behind closed doors we’re ashamed of our financial situation. This is living a double life and social media is a great place to do it. Now I’m not saying that money determines success, but if you’re secretly ashamed of your financial situation then that’s something to look at. I was the king at this game for the longest time. I’ve observed that it started in grade school for me. I would brag about having good grades when in fact they were struggling at times. I would tell everyone that I’m going to a big university when in fact I barely wanted to go to community college. Which I left after the first semester. I’ve owned my situations. Which has allowed me to create my destiny. It’s all a process and we should never skip a step. Never be ashamed of where we are because it is temporary. The fastest way to go through a circumstance is to be authentic, no matter what your situation is. Always tell the truth. The full truth. So help you God. I'll always love you.
Stay blessed.

Keep Moving Forward

02/25/2020

You must keep moving forward. During the Wild Wild West era there was a popular saying.
"You're not a cowboy until you've fallen off your horse and got back on 7 times." It's ok to fall
off the horse, falling off the horse is a part of the process. Stop trying to wait until you’re
"perfect" to do something. Go out there and just do it. In fact, you going through your process is perfection itself! You're already perfect. You just have a misunderstanding of what perfection
is. If a toddler attempting to walk falls down, there’s nothing but compassion for that child. The
child is no less perfect. It's time for you to get on the horse and be who you really want to be.
Because it's not about getting everyone to like you, it's about not caring whether if they do! I
believe in you and l love you. We must replace our need for approval with the understanding
that we’re already approved of. Once we already approve of ourselves, then no one else’s
approval matter. When I had trouble of approving myself, I took shelter in the fact that our
creator approves of me and that was enough for me. I mean that’s a mighty force to be
approved of. Failure is not falling off the horse. Failure is refusing to even try. Failure is a
mindset that paralyzes us from even taking the first step. Ironically this is the greatest enemy to
any type of success. Most people don’t even try. I’m willing to bet that if most people just tried
and kept going, they’ll realize how simple lasting success really was. Now I’m not saying that it’s
always easy (Which is a different topic) I’m saying that it’s simple. Consistency is the secret. So
many individuals enroll in my coaching program because they struggle with being consistent.
However, once we’ve mastered consistency, anything that we desire to create in the physical
reality for a good cause will always come into fruition. You must just keep moving forward.

If you see you as God sees you, you would smile a lot.
02/23/2020

I believe that there is beauty in everyone. The only variable is some people's ability to
perceive the beauty that's right in front of them. I would like to encourage you to view
everyone through heavens eyes. Whenever you see a limitation in someone else acknowledge
that maybe they are reflecting to you a limitation you’re insecure about that is inside of you.
Everyone is perfection, everyone is divinity. The best place to see all the light in everyone else,
is to first realize that there is nothing but beauty and perfection inside of you. Our entire image
of beauty outward is rooted from our perspective inward. The quote, “Beauty is in the eye of
the beholder.” Touches on this. There’s a movie called, “Shallow Hal” and in the movie there’s a
man who is stricken with the plaque that women are only as beautiful as his physical eyes can
see. In addition to that he doesn’t realize that his physical eyes are conditioned by popular
magazines and the media. I’m not saying that women in the magazines are not beautiful. I’m
saying that our creator has blessed us with more forms of beauty that some of us can
comprehend. As the movie goes on the man meets Tony Robbins and Tony brainwashes him to
seeing women’s beauty based on what’s inside of them. I used the word “brainwashes”
strategically because before Tony’s gift, I experienced this man’s mind as filthy. I’m not going to
ruin the movie if you haven’t already seen it. However, the man realizes that he was
conditioned by the world on what beauty really is. I’m here to invite the world to God’s beauty.
To Krishna’s beauty. To Allah’s beauty. Only one who is filled with nothing but beauty inside of
themselves, can see the beauty in all. There is beauty in all of us. There is beauty in you. I’ll say
this again, if you’ve seen you, as God sees you. You would smile a lot.

Sometime ago I’ve made up my mind to stay consistently positive because frankly I
didn’t like the alternative.
02/21/2020

I had to make a conscious decision to stay happy. There will always be 25 reasons to get upset
about something. And tomorrow there will be 25 more. But for every 25 reasons there is to get
upset or be negative, there's 100 reasons to be happy. I've had to hone my skills on finding the
positive aspects of every situation in life. I'm telling you if you try it, it works. It changed my life.
And I've noticed that the more reasons I deliberately sought out to be happy, the more
situations were attracted in my life to be happy. The better it gets, the better it gets. Life is
meant to be fun; it doesn't have to be hard. Your past doesn't determine who you are. That is
created in the now. If you have a past that doesn't reflect who you decide to be, use it as a
story to tell people how you overcame it. Your future is created by how you deal with your past
in the now. Read that again. Staying consistently happy means in the beginning always making a
consistent effort to find things to be happy about. Literally going out and looking for reasons to smile until that gain’s momentum. Every morning I wake up and think of as many things I can be
grateful for. Our creator has given us so many blessings to pick from. “I’m grateful that I’m
alive, I’m grateful that my nieces and nephews are so healthy. I’m grateful that I can taste this
strawberry.” Really looking for things, and not giving energy to the negative things is effective
at living in consistent happiness. It’s possible. In fact, it’s our nature as human beings to live in
consistent peace. I’ve never seen a depressed 3-year-old. Our natural state is our childlike state.
Returning to that is one of our purposes in life.

Perspective

02/19/2020

Your perspective creates your thoughts and the thoughts you think daily creates your reality. Whenever someone says, "This is just the way the world is." Take this mental note, "That is the way the world is for them. And it doesn't have to be that way for me." You're always in the driver seat of your life. Don't let someone else's one or two bad experiences of their past take your hands off your own steering wheel thus causing you to crash in your future. The world is filled with everything. You can find the darkest nights and the brightest days if you look hard enough. You can choose to watch something negative or something positive. Whatever you watch, I promise you, you will attract like experiences in your reality.  Don't go only off only someone else’s perspective and sit in the passenger seat. You don't know where other people might take you. Heck, there's a chance that they will take you where they've been, and some of us DO NOT want to go there. There is reality reactors and reality creators. Reactors take other people’s perspectives as gospel. Creators hear out others on their perspectives, place careful consideration on it, and then allow how they feel about the perspective to be the determining factor on whether to adopt it or not. If it feels good, liberating, or simply relief from an old way. Creators adopt it. If it feels limiting, not fun, or obligatory then creators discard it. Perspectives creates our realities. So, if we can change our perspectives then that means that we can change our realities. Create your own reality. Create your own path. This is the path of happiness. No one remembers the person that was always obedient. If you feel it in your heart, that’s your purpose waiting to be realized. Go live it.

Prioritize Yourself

02/18/2020

I think that it’s important to take the time to simply get to know ourselves. How many of us spend so much time doing things for others that we forget what we actually really like?? When we’re focused on making others happy at the expense of our own fulfillment, we’re still taking. We’re taking from our inner child.

I think that a quick way to self happiness is knowing how to effectively say no. So many people end their day drained from carrying the weight of making other people happy all day. When we say no to others and yes to ourselves effectively we don’t let people down. We inspire them. And if we do feel like we truly let them down, then maybe we were teaching them to depend on us too much. Sometimes it’s ok if you let someone down if it teaches them how to stand up.

Everyone has to learn how to access their own source of strength. I keep no secrets about where I get mine. I’ve learned to plug into our creator. So far it’s the only strength thats had my back every single time. Everyone’s different though. Take back your power if you’re giving it away. Embrace your power once you have it. Then share it once you’re so filled with it you have extra power to give. But always make sure you keep your own cup full. Be the example of what self love looks like. Stay Blessed
